1 November 2006: And so begins the next 12-month installment of photos from our Swamp River Ridge and surrounding valley. Matter of fact, this series of photos will literally be of our Swamp River Valley . . . taken from the boardwalk that joins our two decks on the south side of the house. It was 24 degrees yesterday afternoon at 3:00 when I took this. As you can see, the leaves are long gone, and the river has begun to freeze.
