1 October 2007

Fall's here, and the house is cool. It's time to fire up the Central Boiler for the winter! (Matter of fact, I'm going to do that this afternoon!)

After a couple of years of dryness leading to a real drought this summer, we seem to be almost swimming in moisture now! We got just over 5" of rain in September . . . more than we've had in the last 5 years since I started keeping track!

The low temperature this September was early: 32 degrees on the 11th. That must have been the day we had snow flurries. Kinda funny then that we had experienced the high of 78 degrees only a couple of days before (between the 6th and 9th)! But, that's weather in northeastern Minnesota! :)
