Bleak November

Wow - talk about being way behind! I just read last November 1st's post, and the temperature in the middle of the day was 24 degrees and the river was beginning to freeze! Ha! When I took yesterday's picture, it was 39 degrees and the river (nor the thermometer) shows NO indication of even thinking about freezing yet!

Hrumph . . . Global Warming. Blech.

I decided to try a slightly different display format for the third location in our series of annual 12-month photos . . . or, rather, in the way I'm posting them. Instead of just having a small picture here within the post, I will place the current one at the top of the blog page so that you can get a better (larger) view.

This next 12-month series is taken down at the river as the water comes shooting (or meandering, depending on the weather) from under the bridge. Because of the Laurentian Divide, our river flows north. Once it curves out of sight on the photograph, it turns to the right just a bit where it flows for 200' on our property.

October's high this year was 71.6 degrees between the 4th and 8th, and the low was 21.4 near the end of the month.
